After graduating, he wasn’t sure what came next — until he noticed his LinkedIn profile filling up with endorsements for web design, graphic design, and video editing. He took a leap of faith, and in 2014 founded H Grant Designs (Grant is his middle name).

What began as a one-person operation has grown into a full-service WordPress agency based in Bergen County, New Jersey. Today the team manages dozens of websites, specializing in web design, SEO, social media marketing, and branding. Howard believes in transparency, personalized service, and building real relationships — because as a small business owner himself, he understands what small businesses need.

Beyond client work, he’s deeply involved in the WordPress community. He’s spoken at WordCamp events and currently serves as a co-organizer of WordCamp Montclair. He believes in paying it forward and helping others succeed.

Photography emerged as a creative outlet in 2023 on a trip to the Azores with his dad. That trip changed everything. What began with a DSLR has evolved into shooting mirrorless — and he loves it. Through HG Photos NJ, he captures landscapes, wildlife, and the hidden beauty of everyday moments. For Howard, photography is both therapy and art.

Most recently he’s discovered vibe coding — building tools to fill the gaps he sees in the web and tech world. It’s the same drive that’s fueled his entire journey: see a problem, create a solution, and keep learning along the way.
